How simulation is changing the face of military training

RGB Spectrum is involved in full mission simulators as well as pilot simulators for military fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Mike Callahan told us more about how simulation is changing military training.

Callahan said: “Simulation is a very fast-growing segment for the military because it's much more cost-effective and efficient to have simulations rather than putting human beings in the aircraft themselves.”

He added: “You can perform a myriad of different types of scenarios that will challenge the crew, will allow them to be creative and deal with tactical situations without imperilling [them] in an actual aircraft. For example, you can have hundreds of hours of simulation for a [fraction] of the cost of actually putting the crews and the pilots in the aircrafts themselves.”
