The use of aerial resources to protect the Amazon and border sovereignty will be the subject of a forum organised by Embraer at FIDAE 2024, the International Air and Space Fair, in Santiago, Chile.

The discussion will take place on April 10 at 10 a.m. (local time) at the exhibition media centre, located at the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport.

The forum will bring together representatives from the armed forces and defence experts who will discuss the challenges and technological solutions that have contributed to strategic, tactical, and operational planning in the Amazon region.

“FIDAE is the biggest aerospace and defence industry event in Latin America and, therefore, an excellent opportunity to discuss extremely relevant issues to the region, such as the protection of the Amazon Forest and border sovereignty”, said Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer.

“Furthermore, it will be a great pleasure to present Embraer’s high-technology products and services to potential customers and partners in Latin America.”

FIDAE, Latin America’s main biennial aerospace, defense and security exhibition, takes place from April 9 to 14. Embraer’s static display includes the A-29 Super Tucano aircraft, and the Brazilian Air Force’s (FAB) KC-390 Millennium, which has been performing important missions, especially in the Amazon region.

The A-29 Super Tucano is the world leader in its category and in South America, it makes up the fleet of the Air Forces of Brazil, Chile, Ecuador and Colombia. The FAB also operates a fleet of KC-390s that have accumulated more than 11,500 flight hours, demonstrating exceptional productivity in this category.

At the static display, Embraer will also showcase the E195-E2 commercial jet, the world’s most fuel-efficient and quietest single-aisle aircraft, which will display its Tech Eagle livery for the first time at FIDAE. Subscribe to the FINN weekly newsletter
