Xiamen Airlines is ramping up services between its home market in China and the strategic Gulf hub of Doha, Qatar.
On October 20, a Xiamen Airlines Boeing 787 departed from Beijing Daxing International Airport for Hamad International Airport in Doha.
Xiamen Airlines became the first and only Chinese carrier to offer direct flights from China to Qatar.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Qatar.
The carrier said the opening of the air route would build an ‘Air Silk Road’ to promote economic and trade cooperation and strengthen cultural exchanges between the two countries.
