Saudia has partnered up with Accenture to create and deliver a digital transformation that that aims to ensure a seamless and highly personalised experience for guests.

The agreement marks the begin of the artificial intelligence era for Saudia. To enhance its digital infrastructure and expand its digital service offerings, the airline will use AI systems specifically designed for Saudia that guarantees smooth travel experiences and simultaneously reduces operational costs. The specific initiatives that will pave the way for the grand-scale revamp include a digital experience studio, modernisation of technical systems and development of a smart guest care centre. Guests will be able to create seamless and curated journeys with hyper-relevant experiences, for example, be able to modify flights, pre-order food options and purchase transit eVisas via digital channels.

In another significant partnership, Saudia and Saudi insurance company, Al-Rajhi Takaful have signed an agreement that ensures guests travelling from the Kingdom can secure a comprehensive travel insurance policy online that is accessible, affordable, time-efficient and effortless. Guests start the process on Saudia’s website or mobile app and will automatically be directed to the Al-Rajhi Takaful system to complete the process and benefit from a range of services, including cases of emergencies and claims with special prices.

Shopping experience

Also integral to this mission, Saudia values their pre-existing digital services, for example Skysales. The in-flight shopping experience recognised globally for its high quality of merchandise and excellent value for money, is extended to its customers through on-line shopping. Also integral to Saudia’s customer experience is their extensive inflight entertainment system that was successfully re-launched in 2022 and is constantly being improved. Saudia is proud to provide its entertainment systems with a large library of Islamic content, music, movies and TV programmes. Another feature valued by both leisure as well as business travellers is high-speed WiFi available onboard selected Airbus 330 and Airbus 320 aircrafts for free.

These digital services are part of Saudia’s mission to provide convenience and comfort to guests and ensure a travel experience worth repeating. With the launch of its comprehensive two-year digital transformation program, Saudia reaffirms its commitment to improving all aspects of its guests’ travel cycle through the use of technological innovation.
