London Luton Airport is preparing to launch two new loungers after it appointed No1 Lounges, part of Swissport ALD Holdings, to provide spaces at the airport.

My Lounge will provide a “laid back, inclusive loft-style space in which guests can choose whatever they would like to eat or drink including premium beers, wines and spirits from a self-service pantry”.

The lounge will have a capacity of 155 seats and replace the current Aspire Lounge with an eventual complete refurbishment.

No1 Lounge will offer passengers a “premium, stylish pre-departure experience with flexibility and choice. Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of different seating styles, freshly prepared hot and cold dishes served buffet style and a wide variety of premium beverages served from a fully tended bar”.

The No1 Lounge will have a capacity of 70 seats and will be in the previous Clubrooms location at the terminal.

Lounges to open in coming months

Work will commence on the No1 Lounge space imminently, with the lounge scheduled to open at the end of the year. My Lounge work will commence at the end of this year and is planned to be ready by summer 2024.

Jonathan Rayner, chief commercial officer at London Luton Airport, said: “The opening of these two new lounges will provide an additional dimension to the simple, friendly passenger experience that we offer at London Luton Airport, providing the perfect start to any leisure or business trip.

“This significant investment from No1 Lounges demonstrates our continued commitment to providing first-class passenger facilities and an even greater choice for our passengers.”

Shaun Weston, managing director of No1 Lounges, added: “We are delighted to have been selected as the airport lounge provider at London Luton Airport, adding to our growing UK network of No1 Lounges.

“We’re excited to bring our unique brand of stylish travel experiences to LLA, which will be accessible for everyone. The team at No1 are committed to developing lounge spaces at LLA with a strong sense of place and delivering exceptional guest experience, design and comfort for passengers to enjoy before they fly.”
