EgyptAir has received delivery of its first converted narrow-body freighter aircraft, the Boeing 737-800SF.

The aircraft arrived at Cairo International Airport from the US after been converted.

The aircraft will join EgyptAir Cargo’s fleet of two Airbus A330-200P2Fs. An EgyptAir spokesperson said the airline has yet to set a date for the aircraft’s re-entry into service, but it could happen by the end of the month

737 freighter conversions

This comes as EgyptAir’s MRO arm, EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering, is reportedly considering performing its own 737 freighter conversions.
