De Havilland Aircraft of Canada and Biman Bangladesh Airlines have signed a De Havilland Component Solutions Program agreement to support the carrier’s fleet of five Dash-8 400 aircraft with component maintenance, repair and overhaul services, and access to a strategically located spare part exchange pool.

Biman Bangladesh chief executive Shafiul Azim said: “With hubs across Bangladesh, in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet, it is important that we have access to the superior part availability and cost predictability that De Havilland Canada provides, so that we can focus on running our day-to-day operations efficiently.”

The Dash 8-400 seats up to 90 passengers on regional routes. More than 160 Dash 8-400 aircraft are enrolled in the DCS Program.
