The countdown to AIRTEC is on with industry leaders set to meet in the southern German city of Augsburg from 25-27 October.

In total, some 147 technology leaders and up to 4,000 experts from business, technology and science will gather at the Messe Augsburg exhibition centre.

Parallel to the trade fair, the AIRTEC Conference will take place, where international top speakers from research, science and technology are expected.

Mike Hirschberg, who is making his way to Augsburg from the US, said: “The Vertical Flight Society is pleased to support AIRTEC 2023 with more than 30 top executives and leading researchers providing cutting-edge insights into Future Air Mobility.

“From electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and hydrogen propulsion to high-power electrical systems, suppliers and vertiports, AIRTEC features these invaluable insights into the fast-growing aerospace segment.”

The conference organisers say the event is “dedicated to solving the tremendous future challenges of aviation: These are to achieve climate neutrality quickly and to reach a new quality of life, especially in cities, by using new airborne mobility. This requires rethinking and rebuilding supply chains from scratch and using the New Space Industry, which contributes the necessary infrastructure for AI and autonomous systems.”

One of the central themes of the conference is additive manufacturing. The possibilities that this process offers will be one of the topics at the show, titled: “We print to fly: Additive Manufacturing for lightweight solutions”.

AIRTEC is taking place 25 – 27 October 2023 at the Augsburg Trade Fair Centre in Germany.
