Boeing has confirmed that the FAA has cleared the 737 MAX 10 to begin certification flight testing.

The manufacturer said the development was “a significant milestone” as the company works to get the aeroplane certified to enter passenger service.

The 737 MAX 10 is the biggest plane within the MAX family.

Ryanair has ordered 300 new Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft (150 firm and 150 options) for delivery between 2027 to 2033, each with 228 seats (21 percent more than the B737-8NG).

United Airlines, Air India and SunExpress are also future customers of the stretched type.
