Conglomerate of 15 defence and tech companies has ambitions to grow UAE’s offer as a global tech leader and will invest in research and development

Advanced technology conglomerate EDGE has been unveiled at Dubai Airshow.

The group of 15 entities from defence and other independent organisations is the largest presence exhibiting at the Dubai Airshow. Businesses within the conglomerate include Emirates Defence Industries Company, Emirates Advanced Investments Group and Tawazun Holding, The EDGE has also become the first ever Advanced Technology Partner of the Dubai Airshow in its 30-year history.

EDGE has been established to develop the UAE’s technology leadership globally, starting with breakthrough innovations in the high investment sector of defence and national security needs. The conglomerate will be investing extensively in research and development to develop technologies with transformational impact. EDGE also has longer-term plans to transform a wide breadth of industries through technology spinoffs.

EDGE will be showcasing the capabilities of 11 subsidiary companies at the Dubai Airshow within the event’s biggest pavilion. The companies are: ADASI, AMMROC, Al Tariq, Beacon Red, EARTH, EPI, ETS, GAL, Halcon, Horizon and Jaheziya.

Agile, bold and disruptive solutions

EDGE also hosted young innovators from the Emirates Foundation’s Think Science Program, showcasing scientific inventions and projects within the aerospace sector in the EDGE pavilion on the first day of the Dubai Airshow.
