Parker Aerospace, a business segment of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has announced that its newly acquired Parker Meggitt organisation has signed a five-year multimillion pound contract extension with Lufthansa Technik for the supply of spare parts and MRO services, covering a broad range of products across multiple civil aircraft and engine platforms.

Lufthansa Technik is a leading global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul and modification services for civil and commercial aircraft, and the five-year contract marks the continuation of a longstanding relationship between the two companies.

‘Global capabilities’

Stewart Watson, president of Parker Meggitt’s services and support division, said: “This contract further emphasises the strength of our working partnership with the Lufthansa Technik team.

“We are proud to be able to continue supporting their world class repair facilities and technologies and we very much look forward to forging a stronger future together as we build our global capabilities to serve the new emerging fleet of narrow body aircraft such as Max and NEO.”

‘Top technical component services’

“We are excited to further extend our relationship with Parker Meggitt,” said Dr Georg Fanta, vice president of aircraft component services at Lufthansa Technik.

“Our customers will benefit comprehensively from this new agreement as we combine Lufthansa Technik’s maintenance, repair, overhaul and engineering capabilities with the manufacturer knowledge of Parker Meggitt to provide top technical component services.”
