Delta topped FlightGlobal’s latest On-time Performance Service Awards Program.
Delta leads the pack, at 85.94% on time. An aircraft is considered on-time if it arrives at the gate within 14 minutes of the scheduled arrival time.
After Delta came Japan Airlines (85,6%), All Nippon Airways (83.82%), Qatar Airways (83.64%) and Scandinavian Airlines (82.94%).
FlightGlobal tracks the performance of nearly 90,000 flights operated and serviced by thousands of airlines and airports each day. It then analyses the performance by airline, by route, and by airport to keep track of how those airlines perform and how the industry performs as a whole.
To determine most on-time airlines the company examines its flight status and arrival data aggregated from over 600 global sources including civil aviation authorities, airlines, airports, and major airline reservation systems.
