Agreement for light single engine helicopter was signed at 16th MAKS Airshow

Liebherr-Aerospace has signed an agreement with VR-Technologies to be the supplier of the environmental control system for their new civil helicopter VRT-500.

The agreement, which was made at the 16th MAKS Airshow, is to supply the light single-engine multi-purpose VRT-500 helicopter with an environmental control system, which also includes the cooling system. VR-Technologies is a subsidiary of Russian Helicopters. The VRT-500 was unveiled in 2018 and is suitable for diverse applications from private use, taxiing, tourism, news and media and logistics through to rescue and ambulance services. The 5-passenger, light single-engine multipurpose helicopter has EASA certification in the horizon. The VRT-500 has a cruise speed of 225 km/h and a maximum range of 860 km.

Move will reach broader customer network

Partnership marks “new milestone”
