Honeywell has appointed Turkish Technic, a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organisation, to service  131-9A auxiliary power units (APUs) installed on the Airbus A320 aircraft series.

Turkish Technic is already a Honeywell channel partner with repair capabilities on 131-9 APUs on Boeing 737s and will be able to utilise its expertise for Airbus aircraft.

Under the terms of the agreement, Turkish Technic will provide inspection, repair, overhaul and upgrades for 131-9A and 131-9B APU models.

Local repairs

Owners and operators of these aircraft will be able to repair their APUs locally in Turkiye instead of sending them to facilities outside the region.

“We have a long-standing relationship with Turkish Technic on components repair, and we are pleased to be able to offer a repair, overhaul and upgrade service for our 131-9 APUs in Turkiye,” said Uygar Doyuran, president, Turkiye, Israel & Central Asia, Honeywell.

“This appointment extends our relationship with Turkish Technic to better serve our customers in the region by giving them access to faster, locally accessible maintenance services.”

Strengthened partnership

“We have been an authorised global service centre for Honeywell 131-9B APUs since 2008. We are happy to further strengthen our partnership with Honeywell for the 131-9A APU model,” said Mikail Akbulut, CEO, Turkish Technic.

“I am confident that our extensive know-how and industry-leading capabilities will provide owners and operators with high-quality, reliable, cost-effective and timely services for their APUs, enabling them to achieve enhanced safety and efficiency in their operations.”
