The FINN team rounds up the highlights from last week’s Helitech event in Amsterdam.

There was a big focus on Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) at Helitech, with Airbus displaying its H145 and H160 models. Saint Louis-based Essex Industries showed the latest innovation in liquid oxygen equipment, and Australian company HeliMods demonstrated its helicopter modifications for patient transport.

Chad Oakley from Bell explained how Bell’s focus on training has shifted as the demand for the popular Bell 505 model means the need to train pilots has increased.

The oil and gas industries were a big talking point at the show too.

All change

However, what might be considered the biggest announcement of the week was Helitech  International’s imminent rebrand. And it’s not just the name that’s new. The Vertical Flight Expo and Conference has a new home too – the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre.

See you there November 5-7 next year.
