GKN Aerospace and Boeing extend agreement on wiring systems

GKN Fokker Elmo and Boeing have agreed to a contract extension to supply wiring for three of Boeing's aircraft families. GKN Fokker Elmo has supplied electrical wiring and interconnection systems (EWIS) to Boeing airplanes for more than a decade for the 777, 737 and P8A. The contract was extended at the Farnborough International Airshow 2018.

Continued production of 737, 777, PBA programmes

The contract extension is confirmation of GKN Fokker Elmo's position as a strategic EWIS supplier to Boeing. John Pritchard, CEO Aerostructures and Systems Europe and Asia, GKN Aerospace said: "We are delighted to be part of these successful aircraft programmes, and to continue our long term and successful relationship with Boeing. The extension is a true reflection of Boeing's continued confidence in GKN Fokker Elmo as a quality, well placed, strategic supplier, and a true reflection of the dedication and hard work of the teams."

The manufacturing activities through the contract extension will see the continued production of the 737, 777 and P8A programmes supported by teams in the Netherlands, Turkey, China, and establishing production work within the new India facility.
