FINN Sessions will return to Farnborough International Airshow in 2022 to provide a forum to share and discuss the major trends affecting the aerospace industry today and in the future.

On-floor theatres will host thought provoking talks, panel discussions, seminars and keynote speakers providing all visitors to the show the opportunity to challenge and interact with industry leaders.

The inaugural FINN Sessions took place at FIA2018 and were met with an overwhelmingly positive response.

‘Visionary thinking: The future of cockpit displays’

On Tuesday 19 July 2022, a FINN Session titled ‘Visionary thinking: The future of cockpit displays’ will be held from 10:00 AM to 10:20 AM.

What you will see, is the future of active intelligence cockpit and flight deck instrument displays. What you will learn is how cyber-physical technology, AI, and completely new game-changing thinking in visual information design enables optimum flight safety and absolute operator simplicity – because when flying in extremes of bad weather, pilots need to know exactly where they are and that the flight is completely safe.

So not raw data, but fully integrated situational awareness – projected out into the airspace – exactly where the pilot’s eyes need to be looking.

The speaker will be Dr Donough Wilson, Disruptive Innovation Lead, VIVID/futureVision at Coventry University TechnoCentre.

The Session will be hosted in FINN 2: Hall 2.
