The importance of innovation was highlighted on day three of the airshow, which included more aircraft deals and a gathering of the British space industry to discuss how to accelerate delivery of the UK’s National Space Strategy.

It was an exciting day for Airbus, which signed a contract to provide two H135 helicopters to London’s Air Ambulance Charity, announced it had successfully delivered its first full-size wing prototype or ‘demonstrator’ through its Wing of Tomorrow programme.

easyJet orders

easyJet has confirmed a firm order for 56 A320neo Family aircraft following shareholder approval.

The order is part of easyJet’s fleet renewal and up-gauging, cost and sustainability enhancements to the business.

The agreement includes an upsizing of 18 A320neo to the larger A321neo model.

In the air, we saw the T129 atak demonstrate its advanced manoeuvrability, and watched a wonderful flypast from the Republic of Korea’s Black Eagles display team.
