Members of Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC) are now able to take better advantage of social media thanks to a partnership with Colour Me Social.

FAC represents hundreds of businesses in the aerospace, aviation and defence sectors and their supply chains.

It became aware that many of these companies were not making the best use of cutting-edge marketing opportunities.
This meant that revenues were not being maximised and it threatened to cede ground to companies abroad.

FAC has now partnered with Colour Me Social, which is offering FAC member 15% off its services and will be promoting the sector through its work.

The business is led by Phil Hawkins who has worked within aerospace and understands its needs and requirements. He said: “Like FAC I was aware of a gap in social media use across the aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, aviation and defence sectors, so this partnership is an opportunity to try and make up lost ground.

“We offer social media management, brand story-telling, LinkedIn network and audience growth, lead generation through paid advertising and email marketing.

“Working with FAC’s members will also allow us to tell a story about aerospace and related sectors.
“There is some vocal opposition to a number of our world-leading industries and we want to promote them so both sides are heard.”

Alan Fisher, chief executive officer of FAC, said: “This is just one more benefit our members are able to take advantage of.
“Colour Me Social will be able to assist our members in promoting what they do while also batting for the sector as a whole.

“UK’s aerospace industry is a world leader and it must stay as such. The more we can do to help our members, the better for the sector and the UK’s economy.

“We have members from across the country and abroad and the more we have the stronger we are.”
