Etihad has released a video documenting a year of changes, adaptions and new demands on the airline, one year on since the first international flights were grounded due to Covid-19.

The video charts the maintenance carried out in the downtime of the first groundings to the airline’s humanitarian role via repatriation flights and the engineering and distribution of PPE equipment including masks.

As vaccines were produced, the airline joined a consortium designed to distribute them around the world, ensuring they were transported at temperatures as low as -80.

The airline has since become the world’s first airline to operate flights with a fully-vaccinated crew and the video documents the strict hygiene and safety protocols which have enabled Etihad to re-establish some of its connections.
