Boom: When will we fly supersonic again?

The question you hear over and over again is, why did Concorde fail and when are we going to see supersonic flight again? Boom told us it’s going to be “in the very near future”.

Boom is working on its first prototype supersonic airplane.

Blake Scholl, Boom's founder and CEO, told us more about how many passengers the aircraft will carry, how it’s different to Concorde and just how fast it’s going to go.

“It’s going to fly end of 2018 and passenger flights aren’t that far behind it. We’re looking at early 2020s for our first passenger service”.
