Bahrain International Airshow 2022 coincided with Armistice Day on 11 November.

The Royal Air Force, the Red Arrows invited all UK participants at the airshow to attend a two-minute silence to remember members of the armed forces who have lost their lives since World War One.

This year marks 104 years since the end of the First World War, and the signing of the Armistice activating peace negotiations in 1918.

UK services

Across the UK, remembrance services were held, including at the Cenotaph in London.

Air Specialist 1 Michelle, a personnel support officer with 614 (County of Glamorgan) Squadron, was one of those marking the day back in the UK.

She said: “As a current serving member of the RAF Reserves, Remembrance is an opportunity to remember all the servicemen and women who’ve paid the ultimate sacrifice.”
